Man’s fiery death may be murder

A 29-year-old man’s death last week is being investigated as a possible homicide.

Fire crews were called to a burning vehicle in an alley in the 200 block of 28th Avenue Northwest just before midnight on Thursday.

Before emergency crews arrived, two witnesses claim the man fell out of the burning SUV with his clothes ablaze.

According to The Calgary Sun, before the victim died in hospital he claimed he was restrained in the vehicle when it was set on fire.

Homicide and arson investigators are working the case.
