Jurors will begin hearing evidence against one of the men accused in the New Year’s Day massacre at the Bolsa Restaurant as scheduled.
A judge has denied a request to delay the trial of Real Christian Honorio because of scheduling conflicts for one of the counsel.
According to The Calgary Sun, defence lawyer Gregg Dunn says he won’t be available in December when the triple murder trial is set to wrap.
But the judge pointed out Dunn’s main role, arguing admissibility of evidence, happens early on in the trial giving him enough time to prepare for his other case.
Honorio is one of four charged in the triple slaying of Aaron Bendle, Sanjeev Mann and Keni Su’a on January 1, 2009.
