Team Canada has moved into a new home at Canada Olympic Park now that its 3500-seat international rink has been flooded.
The rink has uninhibited sight lines throughout and natural light with a panoramic view outside.
For defender Bobbi Jo Sluser of Canada’s women’s team, it’s a dream come true.
“I’m excited, all of this facility is great! I think it’s going to be a great opportunity for us to host events here, to host camps, to host tournaments, international events but more importantly to call this our home,” says Sleuser.
All that’s left to complete for the complex is a high performance training centre. WinSport Canada has launched a fundraising campaign in which people can sponsor one of the 3500 seats and have it personalized for $5-thousand.
