Attempted abduction west of Ponoka

A suspect remains on the loose after an attempted abduction with a firearm Thursday morning.
RCMP Sergeant Tim Taniguchi tells 660News the victim was taken from his residence west of Ponoka.
“The victim was forced into a vehicle and then driven to a bank in Lacombe. That was in an attempt to force the victim to take some money out of his bank account, Taniguchi says.”
The victim was able to escape unharmed and was able to call Lacombe Police.
The suspect fled in a new silver four-door Chevrolet pick-up truck.
RCMP believe the incident was not random.
The suspect is described as 6 feet tall, slender build with a white moustache and goatee.
