Could it be the makings of an old-time, Canadian political sex scandal?
A Toronto man has received permission to collect DNA evidence from the Diefenbaker Centre in Saskatoon to see if former Conservative Prime Minister John Diefenbaker is his illegimate father.
George Dryden has received approval from the centre to collect the DNA samples although the centre retains the right to approve the testing firm.
According to the Calgary Herald, Dryden learned in June that the man he believed was his biological father was, in fact, not his dad. His family has long believed that his father may have been the Prime Minister of this country from the early 1960’s.
That’s fine with Dryden who says he’d be both relieved that the search for his father is over, and proud of the fact that his biological father is a prominent name in Canadian history.
