Lions looking for fifth straight win

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The BC Lions are back to practice today getting ready for Saturday’s game in Regina against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

BC is the hottest team in the CFL with five wins in their last six games. Saskatchewan is also on a mini-roll because they’ve won three straight matches since making a coaching change.

Coach Wally Buono tells News1130 Sports the season started to turn around when the key players on defence started playing better and the offence picked up their play. The addition of receiver Arland Bruce has also given the team a huge boost.

Buono says receiver Paris Jackson could get an expanded role this week. The coach wasn’t too pleased with the play of receiver Nick Moore in Calgary against the Stampeders over the weekend.

The Lions sit in second place in the Western Division with a 5-6 record, four points behind co-leaders Calgary and Edmonton.
