Last day of summer

This is the final day of what has been a pretty darn good summer in Calgary.

The sunny, warm conditions, especially in the latter half of the season, may have helped erase the memory of wet conditions early on.

The summer got off to a slow start with a cool June, but warmed up throughout July, managing to hit 30 degrees for the first time in August.

Rainfall totals for June, July and August were 128 per cent of the long-term average.
