Fall weather preview

It’s the first day of fall, but summer just wants to hang on.

660 Meteorologist David Spence says we’ll have summer-like weather through the weekend before reality hits next week.

But don’t be fooled by the warm start to the season; if El Nina is any indication, we could be in for another cold and snowy winter just like last winter, when a strong El Nina was present over the Pacific waters west of Peru.

That water’s cold again, El Nina is back and although not as strong as it was last year, it is indicative of low average temperatures ahead.
