Flames’ Mikael Backlund scores for kids

The more points Calgary Flames forward Mikael Backlund puts up this season, the more the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta and the Sunshine Foundation of Canada will benefit.

The young forward will donate $100 for every goal he scores to the Sunshine Foundation and $100 per assist to Kids Cancer Care.

Backlund says he wants to get involved in something this season that would allow him to make kids smile.
