Street racer gets jail time

A Calgary man will spend nine months behind bars after a street racing stunt that caused him to lose control of his vehicle, slamming into oncoming traffic and injuring two people.

But according to The Calgary Sun, the judge says 21-year-old Justin Gould’s friend also involved in the street race was more out-of-control.

The friend, Timmothy Field, was sentenced to 15 months in jail.

It happened in November 2008 on Macleod Tr. at Cemetery Hill.
