Man dies in fatal Didsbury collision

One man is dead after a two-car collision on Highway 2 between Didsbury and Carstairs early Saturday morning.
Shortly before 4 a.m., the 20 year-old driver of a northbound car lost control, went through a retaining fence, and struck a southbound vehicle.
The 24 year-old in the back seat was not wearing a seatbelt and was fatally injured, dying later in hospital.
The driver was transported to Calgary suffering from non life-threatening injuries.
The other passenger in the northbound car was not hurt.
All three men are from Edmonton.
The 70 year-old driver and his elderly wife from Red Deer travelling in the other car received minor injuries.
The road was closed for six hours because of the crash.
Investigators are still looking into the cause of the collision and charges are pending against the 20 year-old driver.
