One man is dead and another injured after a shooting Sunday morning.
Police responded to reports of gunshots around 4:30 a.m.
One victim died at the scene, in front of a bar in the 800 block of 16th Avenue S.W., while the other suffered what police believe are superficial wounds.
Calgary Police Service Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News the homicide unit is investigating.
Police are also in the process of interviewing several witnesses.
An autopsy will likely be scheduled for Monday.
Police say no details regarding the victim or the cause of death will be released until after the autopsy has been reviewed.
Investigators are trying to determine how many people were involved but they do say one
suspect is described as a black male, 6’ 2 to 6′ 4 tall, wearing dark track pants and a light-coloured hoodie with the hood up.
He was seen leaving the area in a silver or white Chevrolet Malibu.
