Thousands of Calgarians unite Sunday for the 20th edition of the CIBC Run for the Cure.
This marks The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s 25th anniversary and they’ve set their fundraising goal at almost two million dollars.
The event is dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research and education and awareness programs.
Over two thousand people in Alberta will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and one in eight women in the province will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.
