There’s no snow yet, but some Calgary aldermen are already hearing concerns about the city’s proposed 72-hour parking ban.
The ban prohibits parking along major streets and feeder routes after five centimetres of snow has fallen.
Ward 5’s Ray Jones tells The Calgary Herald he has no issue with banning parking on major thoroughfares, but he says feeder routes lined with homes and residents’ vehicles is a different story.
Jones says you can’t ask people to park two or three blocks away from their home.
The issue will be discussed Monday at council.
