No time to savour election victory

Alberta’s premier-elect starts to implement her change policy.
Hot off her stunning election victory on the weekend, the new leader of the Alberta Progressive Conservative Party is rolling up her sleeves getting down to work.
Alison Redford says the first thing she intends to do is reverse $107-million in recent education funding cuts.
Redford also wants to restore faith in the provincial health care system.
Government spokesman Gord Rosko tells 660News implementing the change agenda Redford was elected on will take time, and that’s why the fall sitting of the legislature has been cancelled.
Redford says she would like to get her cabinet in place, deliver a speech from the throne, introduce a budget and have a spring sitting of the legislature before going to the polls.
Details on her swearing in are still being finalized.
The to-be premier also has a funeral to attend, Redford’s mother passed away less than a week ago.
