Mayor Naheed Nenshi says he’s looking forward working with premier-designate Alison Redford.
He tells The Calgary Sun he likes her stated approach to municipalities, adding the two leaders will look at new ways of financing local government.
In a response to the citiesmatter.ca survey, Redford said she’ll partner with Nenshi to create a civic charter to formalize municipal powers, along with Calgary’s relationship to the province.
Redford also pledged to maintain a low-tax regime so Calgary remains attractive to investors.
