Thursday is National Depression Screening Day, and the Calgary Counselling Centre is offering a free, anonymous online screening survey if you think you may need help.
The centre’s CEO Dr. Robbie Babins-Wagner tells 660News, depression affects over 8 per cent of Calgary’s population each year, but most don’t know what resources are available.
“By taking a test, you can get a sense of whether there is a problem, or maybe there isn’t a problem,” says Dr. Babins-Wagner. “If there is a problem, then the test guides you in terms of whether you should take action quickly, or you can actually take some time to see your family doctor and seek some support.”
