Closing arguments conclude in the New Years 2009 triple murder trial

The fate of Nathan Zuccherato and Michael Roberto now lies in the hands of the jury as deliberations are set be begin Monday in the New Years Day 2009 shooting at the Bolsa Restaurant.
Both the Crown and the Prosecution wrapped up their closing arguments in the case as both accused face three charges of first degree murder in the deaths of bystander Keni Su’a, and gang members Sanjeev Mann and Aaron Bendle.
Crown Prosecutor Shane Parker told the jury given all the facts in the case he believes the evidence clearly proves who the guilty parties are in the case.
Parker accuses Michael Roberto of killing innocent by stander Su’a. He also says Nathan Zuccherato is the one who gunned down Aaron Bendle and a third man shot and killed known gang member Sanjeev Mann.
Defence Lawyers Alain Hepner and Kim Ross told the jury that key witness MM can’t be trusted as Hepner accused MM of committing perjury and statements played by a witness known as only John Doe were filled with inconsistencies.
Each of the lawyers painted MM as a drug dealer and user whose testimony was motivated by being given immunity as well as more than $27,000 for his dealings with the Calgary Police Service.
Final instructions from the judge to the jury will happen Monday.
