Charges laid in April hit and run



Police have caught up with a driver after a worker at a road construction project in the southeast was seriously hurt in a hit and run earlier this year.

A 48-year-old man is facing charges of hit and run and dangerous driving causing injuries in the April crash.

The 23-year-old victim was working in a closed section of westbound Blackfoot Tr., when he was struck and thrown in the air by a speeding car.

He suffered multiple fractures to both his legs.
