The truck driver convicted of accidentally killing five people when he slammed into a car stopped at a red light on Macleod Tr. will seek parole Wednesday.
A close relative of the victims tells The Calgary Sun, he’s expecting emotions to run high as Daniel Tschetter goes before a parole board to make a bid for unescorted temporary absences and day parole.
Regardless, Herb Grieder says he and other family members have to attend the hearing at the Bowden Institute to make victim impact statements.
Tschetter was given a nearly six-year prison term for killing five people in a crash in 2007.
