There’s a new alternative in our province when it comes to politics.
The Alberta Party describes itself as a centrist and pragmatic party that isn’t dogmatically ideological in its approach.
Leader Glen Taylor tells 660News a recent poll suggests they have three per cent support which is a big step from 18 months ago.
Taylor says the party would like to field a candidate in all 87 ridings but they’re being realistic.
He also says 18 months ago they had zero constituency associations but today they have 52 registered and intend to have 55 by the end of this month.
Taylor also says they’re the party that understands and utilizes social media.
He adds many of the people involved in Mayor Naheed Nenshi’s successful campaign are involved in designing the party’s strategy.
