Now that’s a Jack o’ Lantern – or, a lot of pumpkin pie!
Jim Bryson and his 12 year old daughter, Kelsey, of Ormstown, Quebec, have set a record for the world’s biggest pumpkin. The gigantic ghourd weighs more than 1,818 pounds.
And yes, it will be a Jack o’ Lantern. Bryson tells the Montreal Gazette an artist began carving the great pumpkin, Saturday.
The eye-popping pumpkin has won Bryson and his daughter some notoriety. It’s earned them a trip to New York and an appearance on “Live! with Regis and Kelly.”
The growing feat has also spurred emails and calls to the Brysons from other giant vegetable growers from around the world.
