Greyhound cuts back service in Alberta

Travellers who use Greyhound busses to get to some rural locations in Alberta are being forced to look for other options now.
Earlier this week, the carrier started cutting 12 of its routes, including one from Calgary to Alsask, Saskatchewan, claiming they are losing over $7-million a year on those routes.
According to the Edmonton Journal, Alberta Transportation used to regulate those routes in exchange for limiting competition for Greyhound.
Those regulations have now been lifted meaning other bus companies are allowed make those runs.
