Transit users still worried about crime

Rider unease is still very prevalent for Calgary Transit users, despite stats showing it is safer than ever.
Crimes reported on the transit system have been cut nearly in half since 2007 from more than 1,500 to 887 in 2010.
Officials are blaming “annoying riders” for the continued unease of passengers, including nuisance behaviour and incivility.
One passenger tells the Calgary Sun intoxicated passengers bother her the most as “you never know what they may do.”
