Get your home ready for the winter

A local sustainable living group will be teaching volunteers home winterizing techniques that will then be immediately applied to Calgary homes.

Several seniors’ homes under 1200 square feet will be weather-stripped on Saturday until 1:00 p.m. and efforts will focus particularly on windows, doors, electrical outlets and furnaces.

Volunteers will winterize nine homes in Bowness, Hounsfield Heights and Briar Hill at no cost to the residents.

EcoLiving’s Judi Vandenbrink tells 660News due to the program’s popularity, the organization will now be offering workshops on November 19th.
