Robbery suspect arrested

Less than 24 hours after issuing a province wide arrest warrant in connection with a recent commercial robbery, police have made an arrest.
33-year-old Ian Garret Scout, of no fixed address was picked up by police shortly after 2 a.m. Friday morning.
Scout was wanted in connection with a Sobey’s liquor store robbery in the southwest on October 30th.
Police say he was arrested after a brief foot chase near 17th Street and 25th Avenue southwest.
The investigation also determined a silver Ford Escape he was driving was stolen.
Charges have yet to be laid against Scout, who also has not been ruled out as a possible suspect in a recent two day crime spree in the city that included a number of bank robberies, liquor store heists and a gas station drive off.
