Billy Crystal tweets he will host the 2012 Oscars

Billy Crystal announced on Thursday he will host the Academy Awards for a ninth time.
The actor took to his twitter account tweeting,
“Am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up my prescriptions. Looking forward to the show.”
The actor replaces Eddie Murphy who stepped down after his friend and creative partner, Brett Ratner, resigned as the show’s producer.
Ratner has been criticized for using a gay slur in an interview.
The Oscars will air on February 26th.
