Did Occupy Calgary protesters accomplish their goal?

After 30 days of protest, police and bylaw officers moved into Olympic Plaza Wednesday, hoping to remove the tents housing Occupy Calgary protesters.
If the protesters had a goal or message, many Calgarians — commenting to 660News in a straw poll — say it was lost on them or never clear in the first place.
“They’ve made their presence known, but there was nothing accomplished,” one man tells 660News reporter Ian Campbell.
“Not really, not enough people supporting it,” adds a woman.
“I’ve talked to them on several occasions: down with capitalism; down with cronyism,” says another man. “It doesn’t really sound like they have an actual goal other than to protest.”
“Well, I think when something like this starts, in the beginning, there is no clear goal,” comments another man. “But I think it’s the general dissatisfaction with the way that things are.”
But one woman is hoping the protesters can hang in there.
“You know, they remind us what’s it all about,” she says.
She’s one of the few 660News talked to who say some of the protesters probably had good intentions.
Most feel it’s time the protesters packed up and moved on.
