Working from home could be a productivity buster

Temptation to do nothing may be getting the best of some who work from home.

According to a survey by careerbuilder.ca, nearly a third of telecommuting Canadians spend one hour or less a day on the job.

Respondents who have trouble focusing blame household chores, TV, errands, children, pets and the internet.

But not everyone’s taking advantage of the comforts of home; the survey finds 13 per cent of people working from home spend eight hours or more doing work.
