Alberta grads at disadvantage

A new study from the University of Saskatchewan shows Alberta high school students may be at a disadvantage when applying for post-secondary studies.
The study showed first year university students from Alberta high schools performed much closer to their high-school levels than those from other provinces, who had much poorer results in university.
U of S’s manager of undergrad recruitment tells The Calgary Herald this proves anecdotal accounts that Alberta students perform to a higher standard, and that grade inflation may be a problem elsewhere.
That can make it tougher for Alberta students to earn scholarships and even get into top programs.
