Evacuation notice lifted in Lethbridge

Lethbridge has lifted the evacuation notice after a grass fire threatened a number of areas.

There are still downed power poles and lines and residents are reminded to stay 10 metres away.

The County is suggesting for residents to start documenting and photographing any damages for insurance purposes.

Sunday a grass fire got rolling and with the extremely strong wind gusts pushed flames toward the City.

More than 100 people in rural areas were forced from their homes, but firefighters were able to get the blaze under control by last evening.

Officials say the damage has been limited to grass and trees.
