Wind damage insurance claims

Anyone affected by Sunday’s wind storm in terms of damage is being urged to contact their insurance company as soon as possible.
Insurance Bureau of Canada spokesman Steve Kee says holders should know their policy inside and out.
“In most cases policies will cover damage caused by wind and it’s covered by home insurance, so you need to take advantage of that.”
Kee says the best way to file a claim is to speak with your agent and talk about your options.
He suggests home or car owners also document their losses to help protect their property from further damage.
