Nenshi unhappy with council. Again.

Mayor Naheed Nenshi is speaking-out against how city council is handling secondary suite applications.

He claims applications are being approved or denied arbitrarily after one passed, and another failed at council yesterday.

Nenshi says the applicant who’s appeal failed by a vote of 8-7 seemed not to get enough guidance from city staff, while the one who’s appeal passed 12-3 was well-educated.

Alderman Andre Chabot tells The Calgary Sun, the one that failed was in Ogden, where a majority of residents opposed it.

The passed secondary suite is in Killarney.
