A runaway trailer struck a building in the city’s southeast Wednesday night.

The Calgary Fire Department were called to the 700 block of 48th Avenue southeast, around 6 p.m.

When crews arrived they found an empty 4 wheel flat deck utility trailer had crashed into the building.

Police say the trailer became separated from the 3/4 tonne truck towing it, while heading north on Blackfoot Trail.

No injuries have been reported and a damage estimate is not known at this time.
