Alberta’s economic outlook remains bright

Natural resources will be the key to successful provincial economies next year according to RBC, which is good news for Alberta.

The bank predicts Saskatchewan, Alberta as well as Newfoundland and Labrador will have the fastest growing economies in 2012 thanks to “a dynamic natural resource sector.”

It predicts Saskatchewan will grow by 4.2 per cent, Alberta by 3.9 per cent, and Newfoundland by 2.8 per cent.

RBC expects to see a National growth rate of two-and-a-half per cent next year.
