The Calgary Chamber of Commerce has been nominated for a prestigious international gala award by Special Events Magazine.
The Chamber launched its “iF” series earlier this year which celebrates bold ideas and the creativity of people in the community with a gala on May 19th that challenged those in attendance to forget preconceived notions of what to expect.
President and CEO Adam Legge tells 660News, they built the whole environment around creativity and innovation and featured ballet dancers performing to Sarah McLachlan’s repertoire and included novel ideas such as dessert served first and breakfast for dessert served by the dancers.
Legge says the nomination recognizes we have some amazing creative events planners in Calgary and it’s now something we can lay claim to as a city.
The winners will be announced on January 27th.
