Montreal writer under fire for Twitter comments

Twitter accounts across the country are buzzing over a controversial article written by a writer for the Montreal Gazette.
The columnist, Pat Hickey, writes that former Flame Theoren Fleury’s comments last week over the Canadian Justice System are hypocritical.
Fleury blasted the system for allowing his former coach Graham James to remain out on bail after pleading guilty to child sex charges, but Hickey notes that Fleury provided James freedom for years, not months because he only came forward with his abuse allegations last year.
‘Pat Hickey’ is now trending on Twitter in Canada.
Fleury himself has commented on the controversy on his website urging Canadians to write the editor of the Gazette and demand Hickey be fired.
