UFC fighter facing charges in Alberta

One of the world’s most recognizable athletes is facing Wildlife Act charges in our province.

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar was supposed to appear in a Medicine Hat court Thursday to face three counts in contravention to the Alberta Fish and Wildlife act.

The charges include improper affixation of tags, spoilage of skin and edible flesh and possession of a controlled animal.

The 34-year-old and a co-accused, Chad Stryker, will appear in court January 19th.

It remains unclear when the charges were laid and when Lesnar was in Alberta hunting.
