Two men in their 20s face drug charges after police and the ALERT special forces unit found over two litres of what’s known as the date rape drug at a southwest condo.
After a weeks-long investigation, police used a warrant to search the condo in the 1800 block of 26th Avenue Southwest Friday.
They turned up with what’s being called a substantial amount of the date rape drug called GHB.
About two litres of the liquid drug was recovered, worth an estimated $20,000 on the street.
They also found some ecstasy, other drug paraphernalia and over $8,000 in cash.
Twenty-five-year-old Joshua Kemp and 22-year-old William Roy Young are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of ecstasy and proceeds of crime.
Kemp is already before the courts regarding a separate drug investigation dating back to 2009.
