Domestic violence triple murder is a wake up call

The tragic events that led to last Thursday’s triple murder-suicide has one group wondering why domestic violence isn’t being discussed more openly.
The director of the Family Violence Prevention Program feels we should be looking at this tragic story as an eye opener.
Christine Berry said she doesn’t want to down play the loss of the two young baseball players, but says domestic violence is what led to the deaths and that needs to be discussed.
“I don’t think people are maliciously kind of ignoring that, I think it was just really necessary to kind of bring the focus, get it back on the radar that this is really about domestic violence,” she said.
She added the signs of possible domestic violence, include jealously, violent outbursts, and the refusal to accept the end of a relationship.
