New Year, higher fees

It’s going to cost more to live in Calgary in 2012; the New Year will usher in a number of higher fees.

Calgarians will get a break on the cost of the blue cart recycling program, but that’s about it.

Utility bills in the New Year will include higher fees for garbage collection, water and sewer.

Calgarians, including seniors, will be paying more to ride city transit; fees at city rinks, pools and golf courses are also being boosted.
