Police kept busy on New Years

Duty Inspector Paul Malchow tells 660News partygoers were generally on their best behaviour minus the larger than normal number of bar fights.
He says police received more calls than usual for a Saturday night but that’s expected as people were out drinking and whatnot.
Malchow says they saw crowds get larger after 11 p.m. at Olympic Plaza as people gathered to take in the Citytv New Years Bash but once midnight struck most headed home quietly.
