Poll shows Canadians optimistic about 2012

If you’re looking forward to what this year has in store, you’re in the vast majority.

In an Ipsos Reid poll done for The National Post, 88 per cent of Canadians say they feel 2012 will be good for themselves and their families.

The most glasses are full in the Atlantic provinces, with 98 per cent of people there predicting a good 2012.

That number is 89 per cent in Alberta.

The poll also showed those making more money are more likely to have a positive outlook for the year.

People with children, women and young people are also generally more optimistic.
