Speed a factor in deadly crash

Speed was likely a factor in the death of a motorcycle driver over the weekend.

The fatal crash happened just before 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the southeast community of Forest Lawn.

A pick-up truck was turning onto 19th Avenue off of 36th Street when the southbound motorcycle slammed into it.

The 38-year-old driver of the bike was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses tell police the motorcycle was speeding at the time.
