High grade comes a month late from previous school

A grade eight Calgary boy got a great grade on his report card, but it didn’t impress his parents.

That’s because the mark came from a test held in his physical education class that came a full month after Todd Cowie had transferred out of Clarence Sansom School.

Cowie’s parents tell The Calgary Sun they moved him to the Catholic school board because of difficulties the family claimed their son experienced while at the school.

A Calgary Board of Education spokesperson said the Cowie family will get a letter in the mail shortly explaining the gaffe.
