Dude! Americans are heading north for excellent boarding and skiing

More than Hollywood stars are flocking to the ski hills in the Rockies, this weekend.
While some of Hollywood’s most notable celebrities are taking part in this weekend’s Waterkeeper Alliance fundraiser in Banff, other Americans are also making the trek north to ski and snowboard.
Spokesman for Kicking Horse Mountain and Fernie Alpine Resort, Matt Mostellar, tells the Calgary Herald their phones have been ringing off the hook.
They have seen a 50 per cent increase in bookings by Americans compared to the same time last year because ski conditions south of the border aren’t too great.
In Lake Tahoe, California, four of seven ski hills are operating and less than 50 per cent of the lifts are open.
Meanwhile, at Vail, Colorado only 117 of 193 trails are open.
