Water-main break in SE

18 homes in Dover will be without water for most of Monday following a water-main break.
It happened along Dovercliffe Close in the city’s southeast, leaving repair crews with a very cold and wet mess to clean-up.
The city’s Chris Huston admits to 660News the frigid temperatures will pose a problem in crews restoring water to the area.
“You know we do encourage them to take breaks and warm back up but it adds significant challenge just in excavation because you’re having to excavate through a frost layer to get down to ground that’s not frozen”
He adds it’s too soon to tell what caused the break and says they won’t know until they can excavate the area and get a good look at the area.
