Recreation 100th Anniversary celebrations continue

The 100th anniversary celebrations for Calgary Recreation continue during January, which has been named hockey and skating month.

The City is inviting Calgarians to lace up and join family and friends for some fun on the ice with free skating events at a few local arenas.

Murray Copot Arena in the Southwest has the first event, which is Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:00am.

Two arenas are holding free skates on Sunday afternoon, Optimist Arena in the Southwest from 12:15 to 1:45pm and and the Northeast’s Stew Hendry Arena from 2:00 to 3:30pm.
