The bitterly cold weather is causing a number of school and bus cancellations.
There are no buses running Wednesday on the Siksika Nation and all buses in Chinook’s Edge, both rural and urban, are cancelled.
All schools, catholic and public are closed in Airdrie, Cochrane, Westbrook, Bearspaw, Crossfield, Springbank and Bragg Creek.
All buses are running and schools are open in Chestermere, Langdon, Indus, Beiseker and Kathryn.
Both the Pincher Creek and Crowsnest Pass campuses of Lethbridge College are closed today due to the cold weather. Information will be updated on the school’s website as it becomes available.
Meanwhile, airline passengers are being encouraged to check with their carrier before heading to the airport.
Some flights have been cancelled and some others have been delayed.
The cold weather is causing things to move a little slower at YYC, while weather issues in other centres are also complicating arrivals and departures.
