Jaws of life used in two crashes

In less than an hour, firefighters used the jaws of life to free four people from their vehicles in two separate early morning crashes.
The first happened just after two o’clock Saturday morning in front of Ranchman’s Cookhouse and Dancehall, on MacLeod Trail south.
Fire crews had to free two people from the crash involving a Taxi and Acura.
All four people involved were taken to hospital.
Calgary police have charged Joseph Raymond Leblanc with two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
Around 2:45 am, crews were called to a second crash on 16th Avenue northeast, involving an Acura and Honda.
The roof of the Honda was ripped off by the jaws of life, to free two people trapped in the back seat.
All four people involved in that collision, including a 15-year-old, were rushed to hospital.
The investigation continues with no word on injuries.
